Reconnect with your heritage
Over the last three years, our Sisterhood Collective has been nurturing a space where black women reconnect with their heritage through ancestral and Afrocentric dance & somatic practices, alongside education that challenges colonial narratives.
Since 2022, Massinda envisioned extending this experience into a vibrant retreat in Jamaica, inviting BIPOC soulful artists, dancers, and cultural enthusiasts to join.
Designed to facilitate healing, self and collective reflection
The retreat aims to immerse us in Jamaican culture, create room for self & collective care based on ancestral practices. It’s an extension of the Sisterhood’s vision, offering a deeper connection not just with the resilient spirit of Jamaican culture but also with our broader African roots.
In a spirit of love and support, the retreat is designed to facilitate healing, self and collective reflection, grounding, and empowerment through carefully curated activities and discussions.
